September 15, 2012 - September 15, 2012 - CONFIRMED!
From Oberlin Doggie Doo & Pooch Parade Website:
The 2012 Oberlin Doggie Doo & Pooch Parade is scheduled for Saturday, September 15th, 2012. This event, sponsored by the Oberlin Main Street - Chamber, raises much-needed funds for local animal shelters, increases awareness of the plight of homeless dogs, and helps people become interested in adopting dogs. Many dog rescue groups and local animal shelters come to this event each year with dogs for people to see, and hopefully, adopt! All events are held on Tappan Square in Oberlin, Ohio.
Proceeds from sponsorships and donations will go to local pet shelters. Each year, we have been fortunate enough to increase the amount of funds accrued due to the wonderful generosity of our many sponsors and donators. Proceeds from past Oberlin Doggie Doo events have benefited: OASIS (Oberlin Aid to Strays in Distress), Erie Shores Humane Society, Friendship Animal Protective League (formerly Lorain County Animal Protective League), Lifesavers Spay and Neuter, Saint Francis Animal Sanctuary, and CATSS (Community Action to Save Strays). The past five Doggie Doo events have been wonderful success stories for the rescue organizations that benefited from the funds raised, the pets who were adopted, and for the many participants and attendees.
