Description:

From 12th Annual Celtic Beltane Festival Website:

The 12th Annual Celtic Beltane Festival, will be held on Saturday, May 7th, 2016, at Columbia Woods Park, 4070 Columbia Woods Drive, Norton, OH, 44203. This new location proved to be perfect for our event when we held it there last year. Among other things, it gave our Highland Athletes (yes, those braw laddies tossing telephone poles around) an opportunity to present a full program. It was much appreciated by all who were there to applaud.

Parking is free, close and simple, with easily managed special parking for handicapped individuals. Gates open at 10:00. Admission cost: Age 100 and over, free. Age 8 and under, free. Over age 8 - $7.00. $20 for a family.

Our entertainment will feature outstanding bands including The Celtic Eagle Pipe Band and the Akron Ceili Band. Other musical groups presented traditional Celtic tunes.

There will be much music and dance. Baskets containing many wondrous items will be raffled off to raise funds for the benefit of Pegasus Farms, a 501 (C ) (3) organization dedicated to horseback riding therapy for those who are disabled or handicapped.

We encourage all clans to set up in the clan rea. Vendors may include many different crafts, jewelry, clothing and food items. A Fairy Tea and childrens games will be featured. A beer garden, snacks, a children's playground and a bake sale - all in or near a pavilion with picnic tables for the use of visitors.

The Festival is easily reached via I-76, State Routes 21, 261, and 585 or US Route 224. Visitors may access the Norton city center (and thus Columbia Woods Park) by exiting I-76 at the Cleveland-Massillon Road Exit 14 and heading south.
