7th annual RiverFest

Friends of the Mahoning River is a non-profit organization in the Mahoning River Watershed in NE Ohio. June 2 is our RiverFest which is a celebration of the river and an opportunity for our community to learn about the Mahoning River. We offer free canoe and kayak rides and environmental groups educate us. Ohio EPA has a demonstration showing what lives in the river.

The RiverFest is free and provides the community an opportunity to interact, have fun, and learn. 2018 marks our 7th Annual RiverFest held on the banks of the Mahoning River. Our event lasts from 11:30 to 5 P.M. Wildlife exhibits, K-9 Rescue Group, Jungle Terry's live animals, children's activities, Boy Scout encampment, music and food.
