Patriot Freedom Festival

The Patriot Freedom Festival, held annually since 2004, is the signature event hosted by the American Veterans Heritage Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The purpose of the Festival is to provide an activity on the Dayton VA Medical Center Campus which welcomes the community onto the historic grounds of the 1868 Soldiers Home so they may interact with the Veterans living on-campus and learn about the history of our American Military. This is a fun learning opportunity, provided by the reenactors from various military eras as well as a tour-bus of the campus led by our docent/historian. The festival also provides free all-day concerts with a variety of music and dance. Also food and merchandise vendors are available. The Festival partners with the volunteers in the Grotto Gardens who provide a tour of the Gardens and activities for children.
